CRYIN' by Aerosmith circa' 93 starring a very young Alicia Silverstone & Stephen Dorf pre CLUELESS.

I was obsessed with this video as a 10 year old. It was (and admittedly still is) the coolest video of the coolest girl ever. I still think about how I'd chase after anyone who tried to steal my bag and kick them to the ground. YEAH.

Also it's the best song. Please watch it. Styling wise it's great, pure bad fitting understated early nineties cool.

I discovered the amazing Hyena photography of Peter Hugo in Tom's Beard's room whilst at a party at his. Slightly fucked, the imagery had me in AWE. I'd never seen anything like it. That hyena's were kept at BAD ASS pets, loved by these incredible hawks of men that stalked around with their beasts in beaten vests and tasseled skirts.

The photography was also a HUGE styling inspiration. These are some of the most stylish men I've ever seen in my life. They are better and badder than anything in Blade Runner or Mad Max.

And PIETER HUGO is an absolutely incredible photographer. I just bought his book Permanent Error. I's obsessed. I want to make it my 5 year goal to have an original print framed and huge on my wall (Alice Dellal does, I was told...)

In the new edition of LOVE, Anders Soelvsten Thomsen does an INCREDIBLE street cast story with Alice Hawkins show and cast in Nairobi. It was so good it brought tears to my eyes. The best editorial shoot I have seen in so long. Hugely original. I will photograoh my issue and post as I cant find them online...

Am obsessed with the architectural photography of Josef Schulz. He photograph's industrial architecture, and then strips it of it's defining features; such a doors and windows. He then digitally manipulates the images and introduces the forms to to new environments.

I love how it show's the beauty of a building in it's simplest form. Le Corbusier would appreciate it.

On that note - my favourite quote from Corbusier: "Take care of the luxuries and the necessities will take care of themselves." How very fitting - with no money for this week's groceries, today when in town I decided HAD to buy a Diptyque candle, flowers and a £15 bottle of Chablis to sit and enjoy working at my laptop this evening.

I love this story by HARLEY WEIR for TEST; the burnt orange juxtapose with the blonde hair, the amazing landscape and the movement.

Harley is an incredible photographer, who never assisted and instead just has an 'eye'. I styled her for the TWIN young talent feature I shot with Nick Dorey, and fell in love with her photos when I looked her up for that. Her use of natural light is incredible, and creates the most atmospheric images (on film of course.) These are some of my favourites off her site. Her portrait of Nina Porter is magical, the shadow across her face.

me & mum copied the block of my favourite vest and made a cream wool pontiroma jersey one.

and then we made a skater swing skirt in the same ponti jersey.

This is an old outfit of grandma's from the 60's made of a silk taffeta.

I think it looks like Prada ;)

and lastly we made a charcoal grey marl wool jersey maxi dress.

Over Christmas me and my Mamma made some wool jersey pieces and had a dig through some old clothes to find some treasures to stave the boredom of no snow and a constant storm.

My mum can take the block of pretty much anything and re-make things as I like them. She did make mine and Hannah's flower girl dresses at Friieda's wedding after all!!

How freaking incredible is TYRONE LEBON's music video that he made for MOUNT KIMBLE?!

A series still photographs all taken on film, chronologically arranged and then shown as a moving image. He is such a clever young man. And very tall. I remember when he said he was going away for 3 weeks to about 7 different amazing countries for the sake of a music video and it was all being paid for!! Talk about coming up with the right treatment!

This editorial by photographer MICHAEL MAYREN and illustrator Simon Cook of STONE & SPEAR is the freshest thing I've seen for a while. It's no surprise GIVENCHY menswear have recently picked up Simon as one of their print designers.

I LOVE the graphic design, the use of colour, the casting (impeccable!) and the overall feel. I especially love that the football is the moon. Michael's photos are raw, the young boy feels real with his scars and his demeanor.

I was obsessed with Barbie's a child. OBSESSED. Guess thats cause they had endless outfits and it was a world of clothes and dress up at my feet, an early obsession to cloth women at least fledged into a career...

My Pappa would always bring me back a Barbie from his business travels, and I'd have him chasing round after special models in places like Hamley's like a madman in a good suit. My favourite was one with stars in her eyes, she was the prettiest Barbie i'd ever seen.

The clever and lovely Lucy Chadwick is the star of a short film made about, well, her; her life working as Gallery curator in NYC, building a house with her boyfriend Duffy (the hairstylist whom we all know and love) and generally just giving us a glimpse into her life.

Directed by Todd Selby for Zara (I imagine she's wearing Zara through out...) this was a good choice of someone to film, as Lucy is so understated and humble. She's intelligent and serves as a great aspirational character for a brand to identify with, rather than the brash tat we're often offered by many through celebrity endrosement.

A great achievement on all those involved, and well done Zara for clocking how cool this chick is.

A while back I blogged a swimsuit with an incredible horse on the front (which a young Jess Gebhart lucky lass owns!!) and on a recent Pfeffer PR press day, i found the whole new collection - it belongs to WA ARE HANDSOME.

They have literally taken swimwear to another level with their photographic prints - the colours and amazing and I think I love the scenic shots the most. It just translates so well to swimwear! Though they also do leggings, crops tops, bikini's etc.

TINAWEEN @ Metropolis Strip Club in Hackney in UNDOUBTEDLY the best Halloween party in town. It definitely hosts the best costumes. A wash with all of London star Fashion kids, competing to out do each other with inventive and original costumes, it's a feast for the eyes and and sore for the head.

I even checked out the usual suspect parties in NYC, and considering their tradition regarding the eve, no-one came close the the costume array we managed to pull off.

LONDON KIDS ARE WHERE ITS AT. (Does that mean I'm a kid. I hope so....)

We all love SUPREME, but with the new London store, and supposed 'queues' to get in, there's a burning feeling that it'll be on the back of a few too many people soon.

A slick alternative, from SUPREME's main token poster boy and general cool dude A-Ron, comes aNYthing (also 'A NY thing' i realised). Really nice shirts, sweatshirts, caps and T's - it's all in the attention to detail. The grain of the cloth, patch pocket detailing, contrast texture and use of good fabrics.

Oh, and A-Ron is the don and has an amazing face. That another reason to check it out.

I just came back from a long weekend at my Mamma's in Trondheim, Norway and picked up some adorable purchases from the local FRETEX (like Red Cross.) Tronheim is so beautiful. It's one of the oldest towns in Norway founded in 997 AD and was the capital of Norway during the Viking era up until 1217. Around the town runs a river, effectively acting almost like a moat. This is the view from my morning run everyday.

This is my boy ALEX MATTSSON's SS12 collection, aptly entitled 'Divine Resonance' (which is with reference to sound waves now being found to have actual shapes). His leather workmanship is incredible, and I LOVE the rainbow sleeves leather jacket - a great editorial piece. He makes everything himself, including his print designs. I love his psychedelic take on a tartan, and its printed on a great light weight silk. The colours in it are so intense, i'm obsessed.

I have styled Alex for two seasons now, and love being able to support a fellow Norwegian. And casting menswear is SO MUCH FUN!!! For this season we used new face David Valensi from AMCK Models. He is such a darling and has the most incredible freckles. The collection is influenced by the style of mexican's in LA gangs, hence the amazing plaids and pulled up socks. I imagine this guy wearing the it... (isn't he FIT!!!!!)

I love the dream team that is David Sims & Joe McKenna, especially when they shoot near David's country pile in Devon. In fact, the image above from British VOGUE earlier last year is one of favourites EVER. Me, Ben & Boo George obsessed over it in the pub, with Boo re-enacting the oversize 'stomp' through the pub.

I did feel their new shoot for this month's French VOGUE was a little too much of the same feeling of the British VOGUE shoot though non? Is that the same tree?!

Along with the vegetable prints and a lot of leg (as per), the most seen thing at the Dolce & Gabbana show was the midriff. Seriously freaking everywhere. I wanna do sit ups just looking at the damn looks.

It seems a big way to wear a full skirt this coming Spring with with a crop top. They were at Pucci, Bluemarine, Aquilano.Rimondi, and yet to come in Paris i'm sure.

THOMAS TAIT pulled off a slick, cool collection, that was tailored for a girl who just wants to be understated yet directional.

I LOVE the styling and trainers used throughout, makes me wanna wear my Asics for more than just running. Jodie Barnes at Hussein Chalayan did something similar a few seasons ago and I loved it there too. Nina Porter (of Burberry campaign fame) was an absolute dream. Such a cute girl and absolutely amazing looking.

SIMONE ROCHA moved away from Fashion East for her third season, a fledgling from the nest. Instead she chose to show solo, off-schedule at the beautiful location of 33 Portland Place.

The collection was a move on in terms of fabrications, with new additions of lace, latex and pvc to the tulle and silk she is known for. She also explored more colour, adding a vibrant Irish green to the mix. The collection was beautifully crafted and carefully executed. Her mum and dad were there in full support and there was a lot of love in the room.

Jonathan Saunder's best show ever in my eyes. A beautiful colour palette, comprehensive range that featured great silhouettes with a mixture of longer and shorter lengths, feminine full skirts and masculine shirts and loose trousers. The audience was full of women wearing his AW12 collection, testament to his craft as a designer who's made wearable and sophisticated print his art.

The after party was a ball too. Hosted at Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant in the City called Bread Street Kitch, which fyi is LOVELY we were served endless martini's, and mountains of mini burgers and risotto balls. And yes, Gordon did delight us with an appearance (especially as we'd been discussing his sexual exploits in the cab. Little did we know!!)

I've been meaning to blog about this chick for a while, and now feel behind the times as all the mainstream peeps have beat me to it. But regardless, her originality and talent is worth the delayed praise.

CLAIRE BARROW is a University of Westminster student (what the funk - still a student?!) who found her niche in a saturated clothing and designer market by hand painting old leather jackets.

And the results are I N C R E D I B L E.

I think it helps that Claire has a hand at painting, and her artist talent for painting and illustration is clear, however her approach, her use of subject, ranging from referential (Picasso) to light hearted (My Little Pony) means the leather jackets never feel too serious, too 'punk', and in turn I think it gives her a real point of difference.

Her fans include Rhianna (BIG fan, has seriously rocked like a different jacket of hers on stage for every set of her LOUD tour) and Jessie J, who have commissioned one off specials. But saying that, all of Claire's jackets are one off.

His original cut and paste methods and collaborations with Grace Jones (who he continues to work him) in the 80's has made some of the most iconic in music, notably the first. Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of my teen idol Kurt, has just come alive in a way she's never done before, newly svelte and covered in tattoo's on Hedi Slimane's online photographic diary. A beautiful shoot, with lots of great portraits, understated styling (all her own undoubtedly) and really evoking a new idea of the girl Frances Bean has grown into be. Expectations were always high, and there was also an underlying sense of concern considering the wild way of her mother and the high regards in which many people hold her father. Yet I think she seemingly has turned out great, if these pictures are evidence of that.

Another exhibition at the FotoGalleriet in Stockholm was a hugely comprehensive exhibition of the complete works of Robert Mapplethorpe.

I was previously aware of his work, however I did not expect the amount of cock that I saw (and loved.) But more shockingly, and surprisingly, was the utter beauty of his still life work. The use of natural light, and the manipulation of light and form. Mapplethorpe was something who saw beauty in form, seeing beyond what the object actually was.

I bought one the still life flower photo Posters for my room. Admittedly, Hannah and Katie felt the big black cock would scare off visitors.

Tragically, like many gay hero's of the 70's and 80's Mapplethorpe dies of AIDS in 1989, leaving behind a legacy of provocative and incredible work.

She also took me for great cocktails and dinners around Nolita and Soho, and to ADORNED (her favourite shop) where I had my tragus pierced (cartilage bit in the middle of your ear) just like her.

We went to the Photographer's Gallery in Stockholm, Sweden yesterday. Not only is it a beautiful building (see below) but it had 4 fantastic exhibitions running, one of which was Northern Women in Chanel, an exhibition by Peter Farago in collaboration with his wife, stylist Ingela Klemetz-Farago.

In close co-operation from Chanel, they borrowed archive pieces from 1920's to present day and shot them in different settings and moods, on well known Scandinavian and Baltic models. The scope and variety of the shots are beautiful, and Farago is a great photographer. It was also good to see some old faces, that need to have a come back, well in particular Louise Pederson.

I met artist ATHIER Moussawi whilst in Paris for the Louis Vuitton show through my friend Jethro who I' was staying with. We also danced with Michael Stipe to 'Losing My Religion' together...

He's a handsome Britsh Iraqi living and painting in Paris. His art is beautiful, intricate and balanced, with great use of colour using geometric Islamic shapes and Arabic calligraphy. He should do a totally neon and grey version.
